Second Prize in the Kathryn Bevis Memorial Poetry Competition

Anne’s poem ‘Some sisters use the word harmonious’ has won Second Prize in the Kathryn Bevis Memorial Poetry Competition 2026, judged by members of Kathryn’s writing group Circle Writers. The judges described the poem as ‘a linguistically and phonetically enjoyable prose poem in which the ordinance survey map of sisterhood with all its complications is laid out with such a light, sharp, confident voice’.
