Poetry Reading – The Magnetic North-East Shuffle

Publication in Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine Anthology
Anne’s poem ‘Anna’s Left Hand’, which won Second Prize in the 2016 International Prize for Poetry and Medicine Competition, has been published in a new anthology, The Hippocrates Prize – The First Ten Years (Hippocrates Press, 2020). Poetry Workshop (Berwick Literary Festival)
Anne will be leading an online writing poetry workshop at the Berwick Literary Festival on Thursday 15th October (9.30am to 12 noon). The theme is ‘Adventures in Letters – The Epistolary Poem’. Publication in Butcher’s Dog
Anne’s poem ‘Women and wifies and lasses and bairns’ has been published in Butcher’s Dog 13. The poem celebrates the camaraderie she experienced on joining the Tweed Striders Walk-Jog programme and the exhilaration of taking up running in her fifties.

Three of Anne’s poems have been published in Poetry Salzburg Review 35: ‘Breakfast in Lisbon’, ‘Der Schwebende’ (The Floating One – after the sculpture of an angel made by Ernst Barlach), and ‘Hanamuke’ (farewell gifts – Japanese).
